Sumario:The aim of this work is to criticize the way in which terms are regulated by the new Law N° 27.063 -which regulates the criminal procedure- and, in particular, according to the term established for criminal investigation before the trial, comparing the new law, the former regulation and other legal systems that exist in the country. This is to show that compliance to the right to be judged in a reasonable period of time demands a great work of judges and their collaborators
