Sumario:This essay presents one special aspect of Family Law and, in particular, of the institution of marriage: the personal effects that come with marriage, which are the duties of fidelity, cohabitation and assistance. The analysis of the subject is done in three sections, taking into account the old legislation (abrogated), the present one (current and valid) and the future (the ?new? Code) of argentine law. Moreover, in relation to the last one, we contribute with a critical perspective of the regulation of the matter, from a liberal position, pluralist and respectful of the personal autonomy
