| Sumario: | The system of marital property is a legal institution which has undergone\nchanges and has been ravaged throughout its development.\nLaw, as the science in charge of regulating the behavior of people towards one\nanother and in connection with property, is deeply connected with the society of\nthe time, with the existing circumstances regarding time and space.\nAs society evolved, Law followed suit, changing so as to respond to the needs\nthat emerged. Family Law is subject to such changing reality and, as time passes, and together\nwith the changes experienced by the ?classic? or ?standard? family, accommodated\nto the customs and practices of each population.\nIt is taking into account such context of permanent adjustment that the system of\nmarital property must be addressed as a legal institution highly controversial and\nrelevant regarding people?s daily life.\nThis article provides a brief explanation of the current situation of the system, including\nits difficulties and its alternatives, and of the path followed to get to such\nsituation, so that a more encouraging outlook for Argentina can be attempted |
