Sumario:We analyze the pre-Hispanic agricultural landscape of Quebrada de La Cueva (Humahuaca department, Jujuy province) in the context of the Northern Sector of the Quebrada de Humahuaca. The research carried out establishes a division of Quebrada de La Cueva into three sectors (Lower, Middle, and Upper) with differences in the varied evidence of agriculture (squares or canchones of various sizes and shapes, platforms, terraces, ditches, grain stores or silos and despedres). It is also shown that the strategic location of the quebrada would have facilitated agricultural practices which developed –at least– since the Final Formative period up to the Inca period for local consumption and, eventually, for consumption in nearby as well as in distant areas. Although the intensity of the practice is different from that of other agricultural spaces of the Northern Sector of Quebrada de Humahuaca (for example, Coctaca, Rodero, Chaupi Rodeo, among others), it was indeed important and diverse.
