Sumario:The objective of the present work is to examine the daily mobility related to work in the Monterrey Metropolitan Area (ZMM), a geographic space made up of 18 municipalities, using as micro-data the Intercensal Survey carried out in 2015 by the National Institute of Geography and Statistics (INEGI) and questions from the daily mobility module: travel time and main means of transport. In addition, differentiations are made between the working population according to the location of the municipality of residence and the municipality of work. The results show a chaotic daily mobility in the ZMM, living in the same municipality where you work makes a big difference by spending less time on the daily commute. The automobile plays a prominent role in mobility and is an element of social inequality.
