Sumario:The essay discusses the Italian artist Emanuele Luzzati, his work with theatre and with animation films and the relation between those two activities in his art. Luzzati, besides his long career as book illustrator and theatre scenographer, has also worked since 1960 in the creation of animation films, together with Giulio Gianini. However, even in his animation films, the world of theatre is always present.
