Vivi Tellas, who is concerned with theatrical elements outside the theatre, considers this an act of common thinking, with the specific language and metaphors used by philosophers, yet also as really theatrical. Going one step further, she puts these theatrical elements in dialogue with the situation in the theatre, as well as with the audience. The play must be seen as an investigation of the limits between reality and performance, outside and inside, spectator and actor. En Tres filósofos con bigotes, su directora Vivi Tellas, pone en escena tres profesores de filosofía, para hacer lo que hacen todos los días en la vida real: debatir sobre problemas filosóficos. Vivi Tellas, interesada en la cuestión de la teatralidad fuera del teatro, considera este trabajo como un acto de pensamiento común por parte de los filósofos, quienes emplean su lenguaje específico y sus metáforas, aunque también como realidad teatral. Yendo un paso más allá, Tellas pone en diálogo estos elementos teatrales no sólo con la situación teatral en sí, sino también con la audiencia.
