Sumario:We approach the analysis of the 5th Tango Dance World Championship held in Buenos Aires in August this year in search for different manifestations of theatricality. One of the peculiarities of the event is getting on stage Salon Tango, an expression that is not thought to be watched as a show, and making it coexist and contrast with its spectacular branch or relative, Stage Tango. Our starting point the idea of the concept provided by Josette Féral and in our quest we find theatricality elements which are more or less clearly declared as such, others that are installed by the actor’'s side only and others where theatricality is identified/created by the one who watches.
