Sumario:This article designs the notion of aesthetics of presence in order to describe a way of understanding and doing theatre that has been developing in Chile in the first decade of the XXI century. The aesthetics of presence is articulated by the body in action and emphasizes aspects such as: sensoriality, the use of new technologies, the deconstruction of dramatic text and the liminal status of actors/characters. By quoting examples of contemporary Chilean theatre I propose a transversal course that hopes to revel this aesthetic subversion
