Sumario:This article investigates the category of intensity, a too repeated word by the theories of many creators who have proposed a no-representative -or slightly dramatically- theatre. The concept of intensity occupies a relevant place in the recent practice and in the theoretical contemporary reflection. The general intention of this work will be just to join this theoretical subject in order to examine certain problematic zones and not only to link such category with the contemporary thought that stimulates it but also to focuse on it, ultimately, through some developments of the semiotic theory which might be very useful in future research, to make a theoretical organic frame about the scenic presence in the theatre.
