Sumario:In Diana Raznovich’s De atrás para adelante life appears theatricalized in order to reveal the performative nature of gender and sex construction in line with Judith Butler's essay: Bodily Inscriptions, Performative Subversions. Characters act as willing participants in a plot that they know as part of the tradition and social structure. To accomplish this revisionist task, the author makes use of a series of highly effective strategies, such as the meta-theatrical reflection, the transvestism as well as the use of very powerful scenery that enlightens the purpose of demolishing the limiting social practices that the writer aims to undertake.
