Sumario:The paper is about one of the least known plays by Casona, El caballero de las espuelas de oro [The Knight with the Golden Spurs], written after his return from Argentina. It deals with the life of Francisco de Quevedo and it includes humoristic biographical elements as well as dramatic ones. The essay does not focus on the whole play, but in the literary wars in which he participated when he returned to Spain from Italy: his fights with Lope, Cervantes, Góngora, Alarcón and other important authors of the Spanish Golden Age.
