Sumario:The author develops the theme of cooperation between libraries. First, she argues that cooperation is a value that characterizes our profession. She then defines the term as well as others nearby: networks and consortia, noting similarities and differences. She highlights the need for an institutional commitment that surpasses the mere individual commitment, so that will sustain the cooperative effort between libraries beyond the will of its members.
