Sumario:This paper deals with the meaning of Nicole Oreme’s ‘configurationes’. A. Maier’s and M. Clagett’s theses are herein discussed upon the basis of a rearrangement of the principles according to which Oresme builds up his doctrine. Finally, a new form of analysis is suggested highlighting the relevance of the principle stating that those representations with lateral angles greater than a right one are not admitted.
