| Sumario: | The objective of this article is to reconstruct a possible state of the art about metal music studies in Latin America, in general, and Argentina, in particular. Based on the review of Europe and North America chronologies, an attempt is made to make visible the contributions of our region and its particularities. Unlike the Global North, metal studies in Latin America present heterogeneous supports, formats and approaches, with greater links to their context and less universalist pretension. |
