Sumario:In the Archaeological Locality Rincón Chico (valley of Santa Maria or Yocavil, Catamarca), after more than 20 years of systematic work, 36 radiocarbon dates have been obtained with results extending from the X to the XVII century. Having analyzed the relation between the radiocarbon datings with the stratigraphic information, considering the characteristics of the dated samples, the degrees of certainty in the associations, and regarding the formation processes that could take part in each case, we reviewed here the associations of the dated events with the pottery fragment samples. From these data and linking with previous chronological proposals, we separated the set in four phases. By means of statistic analyses, a model that represents an approach to the chronological sequence of the locality is proposed, and we explore some implications in relation to particular chronological problems and to the data published for other sites of the region.
