| Sumario: | From the critical school known as «development anthropology», this paper explores the heterogeneous outcomes of the development interventions in the middle basin of the Pilcomayo River. At the the center of this exploration is the analysis of the processes of the development projects in the indigenous community of La Estrella, starting with the construction of the international bridge Mission La Paz- Pozo Hondo in 1997, to the implementation in 2005 of «Proyecto Piloto de Agricultura con Riego». In addition to critically examining the course of these projects, this paper examines the postdevelopment practices and the various local forms of resistance and appropriation of the indigenous inhabitants of the area against these developmental interventions. |
