Sumario:The aim of this paper is to characterize the communicative practices related to the perception and measure of time in the prehispanic Quebrada de Humahuca. To discuss this item we develop, in a preliminary way, how the existence of some archaeological indicators, found in Tilcara area, can be interpreted as time marks, related with the observation of sun circle, and his registration to coordinate economic activities through celebrations during the Inka Period. With the agriculture, the specialized craft duties, specially metallurgic and stone production expanded in the Pucará de Tilcara, was one of the most important kinds of state tribute. We also discuss about the way that many socioeconomic, political and religious aspects took place in the same place, going beyond the limits of this archaeological site.
