Sumario:After a brief introduction on memory, omission and subsequent forgetfulness, the question of teaching the history of library services in Argentina from the middle of the last century arises, when it was attempted to implement the Anglo-American model as the only possible and the best, and pre-existing models were ignored: traditional and innovative. Interpretations based on political, social and cultural factors are proposed.
