The indigestible library: A hypothesis about the opening hours to readers of the Public Library of Buenos Aires

From the correspondence between Luis José Chorroarín y Bernardino Rivadavia the representation of the librarian as scholar will be explored. The footprints of medicinal readings in Chorroarín writing will be traced to justify his stance on the opening hours of the Public Library in 1812.
