Sumario:This essay addresses the field of anthology as a phenomenon closely linked to the literary canon and tradition. In it, corpus, canon and tradition intertwine selecting, preserving and simultaneously highlighting specific writers and texts. Thus, the anthology helps to establish an interpretive community, and becomes the ideological and cultural mirror of a society self-proclaimed as an internal and defined space. The anthology gathers then the stories or chronological descriptions of the blossoming, peak and decline of the choice of authors and works.
