| Sumario: | In 1914 Vittorio Podrecca founded the Teatro dei Piccoli, a puppet company through which he looked forward to modernize the figure theatre. The singularity of his proposal relays, on one hand, in a musical conception of the puppets, and on the other, in the shows’ structure that follows an organizing principle similar to the one present in variety shows, combining musical, circus, animals y celebrities of that time. We’ll try to show how this organization of heterogeneous elements, displayed in a variety show works in the Teatro dei Piccoli. |
