Sumario:The purpose of this article is to understand the travel patterns of Bike Sampa, the bike-sharing system of São Paulo. We choose systems that have been used in two big cities in world to build some comparison: Ecobici in Mexico City and City Bike in New York. The results allow us to find different uses according to the form that the system was placed in the urban space, but also according to the specificities of the operation of the public transport of each city.
