Sumario:This article belongs to a wider research project that analyses three political processes under the purpose of showing the difficulties involved in conceiving politics in an essential manner, as a domain or sphere of social life. The ethnography was carried out in a village in Entre Rios province, and included several political processes from a local perspective. In this paper, I will focus on describing how certain Peronist politicians refer to their work and what they mean by it. Through the examination of their social representations, the aim is to argue in favour for treating the category of “political work” in an analytical manner given its fundamental role for thinking of politics as a social construction.
