Sumario:The current paper follows and deepens some ideas already exposed in a previous article published by both authors (Bunster y Ortemberg 2016), occasion in which they presented a critical reflexion over the academic production of Ana María Lorandi related to the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Thus, this article focuses on her contributions to the knowledge of this specific period in the last part of her professional trajectory, when she relayed in historical anthropology for the analytical categories it provided, such us the relation between norm and practice and the articulation among representations, discourses and action. Finally the analysis of the elites of colonial Tucumán and center-south Andes during the above-mentioned period made by Lorandi are considered relevant historiographical contributions.
