Sumario:This article aims to analyze the role that catholic religious principles play in the conceptions that teachers, principals and tutors have about sexual relations among teenagers. Firstly, some conceptualizations about how the school is a privileged space for dispute of meanings around sexuality are settled. Secondly, the role that the Catholic church had in shaping public sexual morality and a pedagogical paradigm. Finally, a set of interviews, conducted as part of a case study in an average level public school from Mendoza (Argentina), is analyzed to identify the role that this moralistic approach to sexuality plays, foreseeing an interest in transmitting values designed to regulate teenager´s sexuality.
