Sumario:The purpose of this paper revolves around two specific objectives: i) to assess the impact of the reform on working time currently under parliamentary review in terms of a potential shift in the regulatory paradigm. To this end, it is essential to analyze the evolution of working time regulation during the democratic period of labor relations, reflecting on the evolution of the constitutionalization of this working condition and examining how the dialogue between the various regulatory sources—law, collective bargaining agreement, individual will of the parties, and unilateral employer decisions—has influenced the regulation of working time; and ii) to identify certain relevant aspects of working time that the proposed reform of this working condition does not include and which, in our opinion, are highly relevant to understanding the imminent implementation of the working time reform.
