There are offered some issues about our theoretical approach, and we focus on the oral history as a tool that improves the scientific knowledge about the period and about the working class. Even more having in count the shortage of documents written about them, due to its deliberate destruction during the last military dictatorship. In addition, the use of oral sources allows us to inquire the subjectivity of the characters of those struggles. Finally, we analyze the objectivity too -distinguishing it from neutrality- and its importance for the scientific knowledge.  Este artículo constituye una breve síntesis sobre algunos aspectos de la metodología de la investigación empelada para el análisis de una experiencia de historia reciente, vinculada al movimiento obrero en los años ’60 y ’70 en Tucumán. Se brindan algunos elementos del enfoque teórico y nos concentramos en el análisis de la historia oral como una herramienta que enriquece al conocimiento científico del período y de la clase obrera. Más aun teniendo en cuenta la escasez de documentos escritos acerca del tema, debido a la destrucción deliberada de ellos en la última dictadura militar. Además la utilización de fuentes orales nos permite indagar en la subjetividad de los protagonistas de aquellas luchas.
