Sumario:This paper studies the critical attitude of Albert the Great (c. 1200-1280, magister of the faculty of theology) towards the metaphysical principles of David of Dinant (c. 1160-c.1217, magister of the faculty of arts) in the context of the reception of the aristotelian corpus in the 13th century. Albert tries to show that David’s interpretation of Aristotle is not accurate and that his ideas are linked with non-peripatetical thinkers.
