I analyze the types of studies developed by the Spanish historiography in this topic and I propose different routes of interpretation from my own essays about the kingdoms of Valencia and Aragon in the XIV-XVIth centuries inside the group of investigators directed by professor Paulino Iradiel since 1990.  Durante una estancia de investigación en el Instituto de Historia Antigua y Medieval de la Universidad de Buenos Aires en agosto de 2012 participé con esta ponencia en el IV Encuentro de Actualización y Discusión del citado Instituto sobre Aspectos económicos de la España medieval.
