Sumario:During a stay of research at the Institute of Ancient and Medieval History of the University of Buenos Aires in August 2012 I took part with this paper in the 4th Meeting of Update and Discussion of this Institute on Economic Aspects of Medieval Spain. I analyze the types of studies developed by the Spanish historiography in this topic and I propose different routes of interpretation from my own essays about the kingdoms of Valencia and Aragon in the XIV-XVIth centuries inside the group of investigators directed by professor Paulino Iradiel since 1990.
