In this paper wepropose to describe and analyze the work carried out within the framework of theuniversity extension project “Citizenship and Promotion of Human Rights” based in theFaculty of Health Sciences and Social Work of the National University of Mar del Plata.This project proposes to contribute to strengthening the construction of citizenshipand the promotion of human rights through favoring access and democratization ofinformation in the different neighborhoods that make up the northern area of Mar delPlata, anchored in the North University Extension Center. This proposal, conceived andprojected at the end of 2022, is challenged in the current national context, and invitesus to put in tension what we have been recognizing as conquered rights. The experienceof the different members in territorial work led us to identify the existence of a hugenumber of subjects, families and groups that have difficulties in managing their socialdemands and accessing institutions in order to guarantee rights. In this sense, oneof the main strategies used has been intersectoral and inter-institutional joint work, implementing the collective mapping of social rights in different instances of workshops, talks and other dissemination activities, articulated together with different territorial social actors. Moreover, in contexts such as the current one, of systematic advance of neoliberal policies, we aspire that the actions implemented allow the subjects to generate tools for the transformation of the social processes they are going through, through the realization of the full exercise of their human rights.

El trabajo social desarrolla su intervención en múltiples ámbitos y espacios. En este trabajo nos proponemos describir y analizar la tarea llevada a cabo en el marco del proyecto de extensión universitaria “Ciudadanía y promoción de Derechos Humanos” radicado en la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud y Trabajo Social de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, Argentina. Dicho proyecto propone contribuir a fortalecer la construcción de ciudadanía y la promoción de derechos humanos a través de favorecer el acceso y la democratización de la información en los diferentes barrios que conforman la zona norte de la ciudad de Mar del Plata, con anclaje en el Centro de Extensión Universitaria Norte. Dicha propuesta, pensada y proyectada a fines de 2022, resulta interpelada en el actual contexto nacional, y nos invita a poner en tensión aquello que veníamos reconociendo como derechos conquistados. La experiencia de los distintos integrantes en el trabajo territorial nos llevó a identificar la existencia de una enorme cantidad de sujetos, familias y colectivos que presentan dificultades para lograr gestionar sus demandas sociales y acceder a las instituciones en pos de garantizar derechos. En este sentido, una de las principales estrategias utilizadas ha sido el trabajo conjunto intersectorial e interinstitucional, implementando el mapeo colectivo de derechos sociales en diferentes instancias de talleres, charlas y otras actividades de difusión, articuladas en conjunto con diferentes actores sociales territoriales.
