Sumario:It is analyzed the archaeological representation of four ungulate species (Lama guanicoe, Blastocerus dichotomus, Ozotoceros bezoarticus and Mazama gouazoubira) exploited by human populations inhabiting central-eastern area of the Pampean region during the last 2500 years C14 BP. It is considered environmental evolution and ecological requirements of each taxa, and discussed several issues related to their spatial and temporal availability, their economic importance, and their representation among subzones and archaeological sites in the study area.
