| Sumario: | The goal of this paper is to analize the life history of an eminent member of the peruvian elite, the "encomendero" Lorenzo de Aldana. He attained important wealth and participated en every facet of political life of the first years of the viceroyalty . Influenced by lascasianas ideas, he donated his fortune to the Soras, Casayas and Uros indians of his encomienda and he organized an Obra Pía named "Comunidades y Hospitales de Paria" which endured for 250 years. |
