| Sumario: | The adverse forces (both to and from narration) which are present in the title La seducción de los relatos (2018) designate the equivoque in which Jorge Panesi reads a controversial area of today’s literary criticism in Argentina, a dynamic that at the same time allows him to outline its historical matrix. In its ambiguity, “narration” names the current form of a typical polarity within the expansive movement of Argentinian criticism: literature and politics. The intensity of this genealogy is revealed in the resonances of this paradoxical movement, that make visible a self-consciousness of criticism, and have as a condition Panesi’s own method of criticism, a constructive procedure with time as an operator: the critical ethics of irony. |
