Sumario:This article presents some discussions originated in a post-doctoral experience, which included some academic panels as well as the careful registration and analysis of a dissertation tutoring process which involved an auto-biographic narrative perspective. Summoned by a common interest in educational research, especially that which has been attempted to upset conventional procedures and power regimes in recent times, the overall purpose implied the revision of the theories and ethic-onto-epistemic positioning privileged in the academic settings of two Argentine State universities. The article offers a memoir of the experience and three brief stories, which trigger further reflections and support some (other) theses. It thus involves long-term prior epistemology and a narrative methodological approach in the vicinity of urban ethnography. As a result, some theoretical perspectives are advanced in order to strengthen stimulating research processes which can bring about pedagogical transformations in ordinary life.
