Sumario:This essay presents a consideration of theatricality in light of the mutations produced by corporal images in two recent performances in Mendoza: Paraíso elemental (Ginevro, 2020) and Anagnórisis (Gorosterrazú y Ginevro, 2017). The perspective is aimed at showing a zone of indeterminacy between the theater and the performative aesthetics, which separates stage production from mere representation. In this sense, it is considered that this break produces theatricality as an image and it is thus possible to speak of theatrical image to designate this non-representational face of the theater. The analysis shows what type of theatrical images appear in each of these pieces, the dislocation of the representational device and the emergence of bodies that operate as images.
