| Sumario: | This paper aims to investigate the ways in which the notion of frontier is displayed in scenic representation. We will work with the notion of frontier in the context of the refugee crisis in Europe from an intersectional gender perspective. We will take as study case the work Futureland by Lola Arias, created in 2019 for the Maxim Gorki theater in Berlin, with the purpose of analyzing her acting poetics and the possibilities and limitations of testimony on stage taking into account the corporality of the non-professional interpreters. We propose that the work with repetition allows the recreation of memory but there is also a risk of automatism and control of emotion. |
