| Sumario: | Juan Goytisolo has closed his own narrative, according to his declarations. He has done it with two novels: Telón de boca (2003) and El exiliado de aquí y de allá. La vida póstuma del monstruo del Sentier (2008). The first one is a work of deep melancholy and poetic style, written after the death of his wife; the second, a text in which the grotesque humor prevails. The same duality runs throughout the whole work of the writer born in Barcelona; he has used there both registers: one for the sharp criticism and the other in order to expose his intimity. This article seeks to show that the last two narrations by this author correspond to this duality. |
