| Sumario: | This article addresses the socioenvironmental problem linked to the production of bioethanol in Córdoba city (Argentina) since 2012. We focus on the ways in which the main social actors involved (the bioethanol-producing company, affected neighbors and state actors) have configured this problem, in dialogue with different actors from the technical-scientific field. The methodology involved ethnographic fieldwork (interviews, observations and participation in some events related to the problem) and the analysis of various types of documents (mainly, judicial resolutions, technical reports and research articles). We found that the public policies implemented in relation to this conflict (specifically those developed in the judicial field) privileged a particular type of expert professional knowledge. We note some implications of this privilege and rise questions to continue to reflect on the role of scientific-technical professionals in the socioenvironmental struggles of our territories. |
