| Sumario: | A case study, the scientific expedition to the Huallaga in 1948, acts as a common theme to the analysis of the specificity of the social cohesion policies in Peru. Based on institutional sources, professional literature, scientific works and reports, the role of UNESCO is analysed along with expert knowledge in the definition of scientific and social intervention policies seeking to ensure social cohesion and developmentalism. The importance of indigenism in moulding these proposals will be shown, during a period in which the competent expert knowledge in solving the Indian problem and Amazonian colonisation, which was to concur in the consolidation of the anthropology applied as a key instrument of social intervention. |
