| Sumario: | This article discusses migrations in Nelly Richard's work, between her critical project and her curatorial experiences. According to the proposal, the archives from her research have a new opportunity of appearance in curatorial projects. I call these practices curatorial inquiries and distinguish in them a set of assumptions: a) these practices affirm a way of understanding the image; b) these practices require the sustained study of the formal characteristics of the images to be shown; c) these practices imply a set of image archiving techniques. The article interrogates Richard's curatorial practice as a way of linking documents that are not necessarily assembled before. This idea positions curatorship as a site of intervention because it allows the hypotheses to be spatially, questioning the dominant visual regime. In this way, exhibition narratives intervene in cultural criticism.
