| Sumario: | The first decades of the 20th century are crucial for understanding the various processes of institutionalization of the cultural field in Argentina, both nationally and provincially. From the various cases already studied, it is possible to see that most of them channeled their actions institutionally through the formation of Commissions, whether of artists, musicians, and writers, or of private or public organizations. The scale of study that we will address below are the possible cases to identify in the city of Santa Fe within the two decades from 1920 to 1940. Within this period the conformation of the Provincial Commission of Fine Arts (hereinafter CPBA) in 1923, the Association of Friends of Art (1933) and the Provincial Commission of Culture (CPC) in the province of Santa Fe in 1940. Although the object of this work focuses on the second, we will see how this triad allows us to delve into the process of institutionalization of a cultural field in the city of Santa Fe. |
