| Sumario: | Criticism surrounding the bahian writer Héctor Libertella has surfaced in recent years. However, the first stage of his production, consisting of three novels —El camino de los hiperbóreos (1968), Aventura de los miticistas (1971) and Personas en pose de combate (1975)— remains a relatively unexplored period for the majority of researchers. Presently, the renewed interest in national studies on the avant‒garde has positioned Libertella as one of the prominent figures and founders of a current imaginary within that particular mode of writing. Therefore, in the following work, we will examine the avant-garde aspects in his initial publications, his early integration into the field of Argentine literature, his bellicose and provocative attitude towards dominant institutions and legitimizing agents, and his initial shift towards a personal theory of a new form of writing outlined by him and within which he is situated. |
