| Sumario: | Organic fertilizers are considered as an alternative within the group of products used in sustainable agriculture. The objective of the research was to evaluate the effect of poultry manure and compost on the growth and productivity of ryegrass Lolium multiflorum in the Pangua canton, the doses used were 0,5 and 1,0 kg m-2 and a control (without fertilizer). The study was carried out in the Angamarca la Vieja farm, in the Pilancón community, belonging to the Ramón Campaña parish, in the Pangua canton, Cotopaxi province. The research lasted 90 days for the establishment of the trial and experimental work. The evaluation of the data was carried out at two ages at 15 and 30 days after the grass equalization cut, using a completely randomized block design (DBCA), with five treatments, and four replications with a total of 20 experimental units. The variables evaluated were: plant height, leaf width, leaf length, green matter production, dry matter production and root fresh weight. It is concluded that the highest values of growth and productivity of ryegrass were found in the chicken manure treatment where a dose of 1,0 kg m-2 was applied, while the 1,0 kg m-2 compost increased the root fresh weight, which indicates that the increase of these parameters is related to the chemical composition of the organic fertilizers used in the study. |
