| Sumario: | The article takes a tour of the concepts that support the development of comprehensiveness in the APEX Program (Comprehensive and Territorial Program of the University of the Republic, Uruguay) and that give structure to its operation. In this way, an analytical description of different university participation itineraries in the territories to which APEX belongs is presented, as well as the proposed configurations for the comprehensive training of university students. Finally, the foundations that support the so-called: Comprehensive Training and Territorial Approach Platforms are developed, as operating structures of a Comprehensive Program and some of the tools for their management, such as the Geographic Information System and the Matrix of Student Insertion. |
