Sumario:In a descriptive-analytical study, we will approach the potential speeches that legitimize the criminal selectivity of indigenous peoples in the face of the unlimited exploitation of natural resources in Argentina. With existing disputes and facts of reality as a starting point, we will try to demonstrate the naturalization of the actions of certain subjects, who execute an extractivist tendency within the framework of industrial promotion policies driven by various national and transnational actors, who also benefit from these same measures. In this way, environmental damage is caused which is not considered in the criminal sphere, while the actions of vulnerable communities who confront these policies are criminalized, independently of any damage they may or may not cause. The frame from which we will carry out our analysis is that of the critical perspective of green criminology linked to concepts such as extractivism, the crime of maldevelopment (mal vivir), economic development and international insertion, among others. All of this will be studied from and for the Global South, to which we belong as researchers and which we aim to defend and make visible.
