Sumario:The work is part of a project CAI+D 2020 that analyzes the use of different linguistic resources, including orality, in teaching and learning processes in initial years of engineering careers. The health situation that worldwide originated at the beginning of 2020 completely precipitated the emergence of virtuality in teaching practices. Within this framework, the inexorable incorporation of technologies to education became prominence in teaching and learning processes in general and, in particular, in the evaluation in the university. Specifically, this work describes the implementation of synchronous oral instances in the final evaluations of the first and second year mathematics subjects of the engineering careers of the Facultad de Ingeniería y Ciencias Hídricas de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral and the implications of the same both in teaching and learning. From the qualitative analysis of the results of the experience, both the potentialities and the aspects to improve of this particular evaluation methodology in the discipline are evidenced.
