| Sumario: | This article seeks to reflect on the production of urban space in authoritarian contexts. There is a widespread common sense, even in the academic universe, that associates certain urban interventions with the authoritarian political ideology of the regime, observing in all urban works and regulations examples of control and repression. Based on the case of the city of Buenos Aires during the last civic-military dictatorship, the article seeks to build general reflections on the production of the city in authoritarian contexts, retracing these common senses and linear associations between some political regimes and their urban production. In this way, the article seeks to provide reflections on the links between cities and dictatorships in the southern cone. |
