Sumario:This paper focuses on the government of Rafaela, in the Santa Fe province of Argentina, its public policies and the relations that it established with different sectors linked to the last military dictatorship. Based on previous written and oral sources, this microanalytical study aims to demonstrate how the so-called democratic/progressive local administration continued to focus on public works, efficiency, and transparency of public accounts established by previous administrations, which resulted in relations of negotiation and convenience with the de facto power, to ensure continuous development of the town. The work also aims to contribute to the understanding of public policies of local state agencies during the period of the last military dictatorship in a particular territory, understanding that they were part of the privileged spaces of the Political Plan of the dictatorial regime.
